Optimal type of anaesthesia of patients undergoing operational procedures on lower extremity is conduction anaesthesia (central one or local one), which ensures totally painless operations and enables continuation of analgesic treatment after the procedure that accelerates patient’s mobilization. Contraindication must be always considered when performing central conduction anaesthesia. One of such contraindications is taking antithrobotic agents by the patients; however, patient’s safety can be assured in these cases basing on standards contained in national guidelines of The Society of Anaesthesiologists.
