Cervical corpectomy is one of the basic methods of treatment of pathologies leading to spinal canal stenosis. When the vertebral body has been removed, the space left must be filled to hold the remaining vertebrae apart. Application of distractable ‘in situ’ cervical body implant simplifies the surgery allowing simultaneously to fit its size precisely. Anterior stabilization with a plate increases rigidity, stability and fusion rate. The fusion of distractable “in situ”prosthesis with anterior plate allows to reconstruct precisely the height of the operated on vertebrae, facilitate and shorten the time of the procedure. The study presents the examples of the application of distractable prosthesis of cervical body combined with plate in different pathologies of cervical spine.
