The paper presents results of the bioengineering and preclinical studies of polymeric intervertebral stabilization used for surgical treatment of the spine after corporectomy. The aim of the study was functional assessment of the implant and the new method of installation. Studies were realized on phantoms, virtual models and animal specimens. For strength tests was used a machine equipped with a vision system. Obtained results indicate new opportunities of proposed medical technology with PEEK prosthesis and surgically controlled installation technique, which predisposes to apply in all spinal segments, in its various dysfunctions.
