Although pulmonary embolism is one of the most often problems during the hospitalizations (1-2%) and the one of most common cause of death, many cases of pulmonary embolism still remain unknown. The aim of this study was the clinical analysis of two cases in which development of pulmonary embolism occur in spite of the standard anticoagulant prophylaxis.
