Physiotherapy in patients with inhalation injury in burns

INTRODUCTION. A program of patients’ rehabilitation after a respiratory tract burn applied in Center of Burns Therapy in Siemianowice Sl. Is given in the paper. OBJECTIVE. The objective is to present a method of patients’ improvement considering the complications coexisting with inhalation injury in burns. MATERIAL AND METHOD. The method of kinesitherapy is based on inhalations, effective cough, positioning drainage, respiratory exercises. CONCLUSIONS: 1. Respiratory kinesitherapy should begin right after the admission o f the patient 2. The program of rehabilitation should be adjusted to patient’s ability 3. Application of the rehabilitation is continued until a physiological norm is obtained. The elements of the program were introduced in a group of inpatients in the Center of Burns Therapy in Siemienaowice �?�?l. While its efficacy was checked with an objective examination.
