Respiratory insufficiency ??? a complication of a delayed osteosynthesis in multiple organ failure. Case study

A case of a 23y.o. male after a multiple organ injury is presented in this paper. A delayed osteosynthesis of broken femur was performed. The delay in surgical treatment of the fracture is considered as a cause of respiratory distress in the course of fat embolism. Patient status radically improved after osteosynthesis and intensive therapy.
