Considering the type of the injury the upper, middle and lower level of face fracture is coming into effect. Proper type of injury diagnosis is important for making a decision about way of treatment. For the facial skeleton fractures the proper radiological projections are selected: pantomographic pictures, postero – anterior maxillary sinuses picture, postero – anterior skull projection, lateral skull projection, PA and oblique – lateral mandibullary picture. The aim of the work was the valuation of particular roentgenological projection suitability in diagnosis of facial skeleton fractures; the clinical material was the group of 1200 patients with facial skeleton fracture being treated in the Chair and Clinic of Maxillo – Facial Surgery in Zabrze. The analize considered the radiogram valuation in case of maxillary, zygomatic bone and arch fracture, zygomato – maxillary – orbital syndrome fracture and the frontal bone fracture.
