Accidents on ski slopes constitute a big strain on rescue teams in mountainous areas. In the last few years the number of events has increased. The number of accidents with the participation of snowboard riders and events resulting from crash of slope users has also increased. In this work, we analyzed TOPR actions in case of ski interventions in the winter seasons 2008/ 09 and 2009/10. We evaluated the mechanisms of the events, the most frequent injuries and their level of severity, basing on NACA and IKAR scales applied by TOPR. In our work, we also referred to the issue of using ski helmets by skiers in relation to the obligation of its wearing by children up to the age of 15 years old.
