The evaluation of the influence of local ozonotherapy on the level of chronic wound eradication ??? preliminary report

Wstêp. The authors describe the properties of ozone, its wide application in medicine and the methods and techniques ozonetherapy. The aim of this study was to assess the impact of local forms ozonetherapy: dry bath ozone tube and liquid with ozone for external use -the degree of eradication of chronic wounds. Material and methods. The authors described the results of treatment of 17 patients with chronic wounds treated at the Burn Treatment Center in Siemianowice Slaskie from November 2011 until January 2012. Conclusions. The study showed the effectiveness of ozone therapy used local, encourage continued research on a larger group of patients. Applied to the local ozone for external use reduced the number of Acinetobacter baumanii, Staphylococcus Aureus. During treatment, there were no side effects.
