  Introduction of one minute preceptor as teaching learning method for postgraduates in orthopaedics

  Background: Orthopaedic teaching at Postgraduate level is more procedure oriented and due to time and workload constraints, teaching of clinical reasoning skills somehow gets neglected. One Minute Preceptor (OMP) is a learner oriented micro skill method of teaching for improving learning at Postgraduate level. So this study was proposed to introduce OMP as a teaching learning method for Postgraduate in Orthopaedic. Methodology: This interventional educational study was conducted at the Department of Orthopaedics, PGIMS Rohtak after obtaining institutional ethical clearance. After sensitization of students and faculty members, 6 OMP sessions per student were conducted. Feedback was taken at the end by students as well as faculty members.
